Paris Jackson imagined what it’d be like for her father, late pop icon Michael Jackson, to still be with her by sharing an edited photo showing her being embraced by her parents.
The picture which was created by Instagram user krafty_mj_stuffand posted to Twitter by Jackson placed a present-day photo of the 20-year-old star in between the King of Pop, who died in 2009, and his former wife Debbie Rowe.
“I think it’s nice to dream about what it would be like to have parents, and to have it put into something i can see, even if it’s a fan made edit,” Jackson wrote in a second tweet, explaining the black-and-white picture to a friend.
Jackson was 11 when her father died at 50. She had been raised by the “Thriller” singer after his divorce from Rowe and later lived with her grandmother Katherine Jackson after he died.

She was not seen publicly with her mother for years, but they rekindled their relationship by the summer of 2016.
Rowe credited her daughter for being her “rock” after she was diagnosed with breast cancer that year, telling Entertainment Tonight that Jackson had “been with me the whole time” she was battling the disease. Jackson shared multiple photos of her mother as she fought cancer, including one showing her kissing Rowe’s head and another commemorating Rowe completing chemotherapy.
Many of Jackson’s fans were moved by the photo she shared to social media envisioning the family together today, including one named Kat Flood who tweeted, “I love this so much. I don’t doubt he’d be so proud of you. I hope you know that. Love you lots keep being you and don’t ever change.”
One of Jackson’s friends initially referred to the picture as “Creepy AF,” according to Elle magazine, but the tweet has since been deleted after Jackson explained what the picture meant to her.
