PORT ST LUCIE Anthony Swarzak has a strained left calf, the Mets announced Thursday.

He will receive treatment today. The Mets had no update on when he would be available.

The right-handed reliever, whom the Mets signed to a two-year, $14-million deal this winter, left Tuesday’s spring training game after feeling his left calf grab as he ran to cover first base.

Swarzak had an MRI on Wednesday afternoon, when he said he was confident it would not be a nagging issue, adding he had never had a problem with the calf before.

I am not a guy who cramps up or anything, Swarzak said.
