Its been a long week for the NFLs player discipline department, and the rage about how it polices illegal on-field behavior is intensifying.

Bills rookie defensive back TreDavious White spoke Thursday, four days after Rob Gronkowski drilled him with an egregiously late while he lay on the ground and three days after the Patriots tight end earned a one-game suspension for his misdeed.

Man, its a joke, dog, White said of Gronkowskis light suspension, according to ESPN. Man, I dont know what to say on that. Im laying there. He snuck me with my back turned. He could have broke my neck. I mean, I got a son to raise. All that. People dont think about that when they just react.

Im glad I had my mouthpiece in. I probably couldve bit my tongue off. I bit my lip pretty bad. Terrible headache. It is what it is. He did what he wanted to do. He is what he did. Dirty shot, so what does that make him? Dirty player. Simple.

White had just intercepted a pass intended for Gronkowski. He ended up in the leagues concussion protocol because of the after-the-whistle attack.

He was allowed out of the protocol Thursday. White said he has not heard from Gronkowski since the incident, according to ESPN.

Gronkowski was one of three players suspended one game for violent acts this past weekend. Bengals safety George Ilokas suspension was repealed and became a fine, but Steelers wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster will join Gronkowski watching his team play this weekend.

So gronk elbow drops a guy off the top rope like Dusty Rhodes and gets same suspension as a guy getting a penalty making a football play. Okay cool @NFL @espn @ESPNNFL cant wait to see what you come up with next.

Steelers safety Mike Mitchell has been one of the most vocal players this week, ripping the league in several tweets like the one above about the inconsistencies with discipline. He boiled over Wednesday in a long rant while meeting with the media after practice.
