Chris Smith, who briefly played for the Knicks as a teammate of older brother J.R. Smith, has converted to Judaism and has signed a three-year deal with Ironi Nahariya of the Israeli first division.

The younger Smith, now 30, appeared in two games (with no points) for the Knicks in 2013 after playing collegiately at Manhattan and Louisville.

His deal with Ironi Nahariya was first reported by basketball writer David Pick and was later confirmed by ESPN. Smith’s agent Daniel Hazan also told ESPN that he assisted Smith through the religious conversion process.

Smith also appeared in one game for the Israeli club Hapoel Galil Elyon in 2016.
