WINDSOR, England — The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, an American actress, on Saturday is expected to draw half a million people to Windsor, England, and to be followed live by millions around the world.

The union, after all, represents more than the love of two people: It is a coming together of British nobility and the American dream, a sign of an ever-changing royal family and an opportunity for Britain to bask in celebratory attention for a few days (not to mention to sell a fair number of commemorative plates, teacups and postcards).

Guests began around 9:30 a.m. local time, and the ceremony is scheduled to start at noon. (Check here for the time in your area.) Follow us here for the most memorable moments as they unfold. We’ll be updating with new photographs throughout the day.
